A thermowell sensor pocket is a device used in industrial processes to protect temperature sensors, such as thermocouples or resistance temperature detectors (RTDs), from the harsh conditions of the process environment. It consists of a cylindrical or tubular metal enclosure that is inserted into a process pipe or vessel.
