Ceramic Infrared Elements (full size) K t/c are far-wave infrared and are used in thermoforming machines and ovens for drying and curing parts warming applications. This particular configuration has an inbuilt K thermocouple sensor for measuring surface temperatures. Please note that because the surface temperature of the element is measured and not the product temperature being heated, an offset temperature should be recognised.
Typical applications are vacuum/thermoforming machines, shrink-wrapping lines, paints and ink drying and water evaporation. Others are industrial and commercial space heating for heaters such as the Dimplex CXD2000 and food warming stations.
Under Control Instruments, provides a full range of Ceramic infrared element long-wave infra-red elements. All our ceramic elements have CE and UL approvals, so quality is assured.
Ceramic Infrared heater elements are energy efficient, converting 96% of the input power to heat and a maximum temperature of 700ºC. Standard wattages from 150w to 1000w, 240v and other voltage options are available on request.
We also have accessories, including high-temperature cables, ceramic blocks and energy regulators.
They are available in 2 standard sizes 245 x 60mm and 125 x 60mm. They have a curved profile and emit far-wave infrared heat. The sun emits this type of wave pattern so is more gentle and is suitable for warming through an object, unlike short wave, which is more intense.
If you need a quicker heat-up time then why not consider our quartz elements instead? They are medium-wave and so will heat up faster but most importantly fit in the same footprint as ceramic elements. Available in full-size or half-size versions.
We recommend using our contactless thermocouple sensors for accurate temperature control.
