These would typically be moving applications such as conveyor belts or where the sensor contact may contaminate or damage the product. They are also used where surface temperatures are uneven and cannot be easily measured.
Pyrocouples are fast responding and have a high degree of accuracy. Available in two different temperature ranges, one measures up to 250 C and the other up to 500 C.
